When to Visit Lahore

The Lahore weather remains hot for most of the year, although it does experience cooler temperatures between December and February for those not used to the heat. The rainy season in Lahore falls between July and August, while the rest of the year experiences very little rainfall at all. Those who enjoy the heat may find either side of the rainy season to be the best period to visit, while travelers looking for a cooler climate may consider visiting over the winter. Flights to Lahore

Allama Iqbal International Airport is the main airport in Lahore located 15 km outside of the city. There are direct flights from Abu Dhabi International Airport offered by Airblue, Etihad Airways and Pakistan International Airlines. There are also direct flights via Dubai International Airport with Emirates, Airblue and Pakistan International Airlines. Alternatively, you can also fly direct to Lahore from Ras al Khaimah with Air Arabia and out of Sharjah with Airblue. Allama Iqbal International Airport has two passenger terminals, although one of these terminals is dedicated exclusively to Hajj flights.

Lahore Travel Information

Almost all nationals including those from the UAE will be required to obtain a visa before arriving in Lahore. However, UAE nationals are also entitled to a business visa upon arrival if visiting solely for business. The currency in Pakistan is the Pakistani Rupee, so be sure to change your money before arriving or at the airport. Be advised the Pakistan is 1 hour ahead of the UAE so change your clocks to avoid confusion before flying.
