Kochi Airport

Kochi Airport is located 25 km north of Kochi. The drive takes around 45 mins by car or taxi, with taxis readily available outside of the airport. The KSRTC bus stops outside the departures terminal and buses go to a number of areas throughout the region of Kerala.

When to go to Kochi

Kochi can be visited any time of the year however, summer is not advised simply due to the intense heat. February to March is the best time to visit when the weather is just warming up and it is bright and sunny and not too humid. This is a good time of year to take boat rides on the emerald rivers that meander through Kochi. June to September is rainy season meaning there will be cheaper flights to Kochi around this time. This is an excellent time of the year to visit the rainforests in the area. The end of the monsoon period, from October to February is also a good time to visit Kochi with cheaper flights and just some light rain. There is also the draw of the Kochi Carnival which takes place in October.
