Amman is a year-round destination depending on what you want to do. Sitting at over 800m above sea level means that Amman will be cooler in the winter months than the Red Sea resorts that offer year round sunshine. However, the spring time is best for desert tours when the heat is less oppressive and the surrounding valleys are beautifully carpeted with green, perfect for hiking. September sees the celebration of Eid with many traditional events and festivals taking place.

The best time to get a cheap flight deal to Amman is probably late winter and early spring when the city is at its quietest and the diving tourists haven’t booked their flights and filled the local resorts yet!
