The Logicom Cyprus Marathon course winds through the historic streets of Paphos, immersing runners in the island’s rich cultural heritage. For example, the route passes by the UNESCO World Heritage Site, where participants can admire ancient ruins, Byzantine churches, and the picturesque harbour. Furthermore, runners will be treated to stunning views of Paphos’ most iconic landmarks, including the Paphos Archaeological Park and the medieval Paphos Castle. Event Details & Race Categories

The Logicom Cyprus Marathon 2025 will take place on March 8 to 11, 2025, in Paphos, Cyprus. This event is designed to cater to runners of all levels, offering a variety of race categories to suit different abilities and preferences.

Full Marathon (42.2 km) – The Ultimate Challenge

The main race of the event weekend, the full marathon is a true test of endurance, set against some of the most breath-taking scenery in Cyprus. The race begins at the legendary Petra Tou Romiou (Aphrodite’s Birthplace) and follows a stunning coastal route along the Mediterranean Sea, allowing runners to experience the island’s natural beauty and charming villages.

🔹 Start Time: 7:00 a.m. at Petra Tou Romiou on 9th March

🔹 Course Highlights: Traditional Paphos villages, frequent fluid stations every 2.5 km, and the famous Mediterranean hospitality.

🔹 Certification: The course is accredited by AIMS (Association of International Marathons and Distance Races) and managed under World Athletics rules.

Half Marathon (21.1 km) – Fast & Scenic

Perfect for those aiming to test their stamina, the half marathon is a flat and fast course along the Mediterranean coastline. It is one of the most popular distances of the event and provides runners with six fluid stations to ensure they stay refreshed.

10 km Race – A Fun Challenge for All

A great choice for intermediate runners and fitness enthusiasts, the 10 km race follows a flat and picturesque route alongside Poseidonos Avenue, just a few meters from the Mediterranean beach.

🔹 Course Highlights: A quick-paced race, palm trees, and a lively city atmosphere.

5 km Sunset Run – A Breath-taking Evening Race

Set against a stunning sunset, this casual and fun 5 km race is ideal for beginners, families, and friends looking to enjoy the race atmosphere. The route runs past the Paphos Archaeological Park, with the Mediterranean Sea as a spectacular backdrop.

🔹 Course Highlights: A scenic evening run, perfect for team-building activities or friendly competition.

4 km Wine Run – A Unique Race Through Vineyards

A completely unique experience, the Cyprus Wine Run takes participants through the scenic vineyards of Polemi, a charming village in the Paphos District. Beginning at the Metochi Cultural Centre, this event combines running with an authentic Cypriot experience.

🔹 Date: Tuesday, March 11, 2025

🔹 Start Location: Polemi Village

🔹 Course Highlights:

• Run through stunning vineyards at an altitude of 463 meters
• Pass by fields of naturally occurring red tulips
• Enjoy the warm hospitality of the local community

After the Wine Run – A Cultural Feast!

Once runners cross the finish line, the celebrations begin! Participants will enjoy:

• Wine tasting from the prestigious Tsalapatis Winery
• A bottle of wine as a souvenir
• A traditional Cypriot finger food cocktail
• Introduction to wine history and local culture
• Bus transfers from Kato Paphos to Polemi Village

Registration Fees: €30 – €80, depending on the race category. This ensures accessibility for both competitive athletes and recreational runners alike.
