Alaska perhaps, is one of the most sought after places in the US if not in the entire North America continent. With its variety of travel destinations, careful plans should be made in order not to miss out the best places.

One of the most traveled on states in the US is Alaska. It had been noticed that several tourists arrive in the place via cruise ships. Its capital city is Juneau. There are a lot of interesting sights found in the entire state with its famous cities showing what it is all about.

Traveling at the north

Once you are heading north of Alaska, you are given a variety of tourist spots to choose from. Among the famous attractions for vacationers include:

• Denali National Park.
  This place is your typical idea of adventure. The forestry and wildlife depicted in the area will surely mesmerize your eyes. The sceneries are pleasantly associated with the wonders of nature. You will truly have a glimpse of a nature park in this famous North Alaska sight.
• Sun Dog Kennel.
  This place is found in Talkeetna and is known as the house to the famous sprint champion Kathleen Holden. Dog sleds are seen about just everywhere in the entire lot. Using a wheeled cart which could carry around six passengers, you could trace the four mile rot and enjoy the calmness and serenity of the entire area.

Visiting the South

Just like the northern part, Southern Alaska will definitely give you two-thumbs up sprees. Your travel would not be complete unless you track down the following areas:

• Kenai Fjords National Park.
  Alaska is usually characterized by growing alpines and a vast terrain for wildlife adventure. The Kenai Fjords Park in Seward is a 110-mile park set on robust wildlife and beautiful glaciers. The scenery will surely take your breath away.
• Kachemak Bay.
  Some countries look at fishing as a means of living while in Alaska, it is a form of sightseeing and adventure. You will never get to enjoy the relief others get from the hobby unless you do it at the famous Kachemak Bay.

The Inside Passage

This portion of the state is home for the capital city Juneau and other remarkable towns such as Haines, Skagway, Ketchikan and Yakutat. Here are some of the remarkable sights in this portion:

• Mendenhall Glacier Tour.
  Found at the heart of the state which is Juneau, you can enjoy a three-hour trip with barely $40 in your pocket. A good time to visit this area is from June to September of each year. You will definitely enjoy the stretching of the snow from east to west.
• Klondike Gold Rush National Historical Park Visitor Center.
  This place is located at Skagway which paves for daily ranger presentations. You could either go for a 45-minute discussion on several topics or have a 30-minute film viewing on “Days of Adventure, Dreams of Gold”.

Alaska is definitely a good place to go to especially that it has a lot of tourist attractions from north to south and east to west. By taking a look around the state, you will get the feeling you want from leisure to fulfillment. Always take good travel hints when planning to make a visit.
